Automated Gates Orpington

Automated Gates Orpington

A gated entrance changes how a property looks and how safe it feels to come home to. We design, build and automate entrance gates for houses right across Orpington, from the wide frontages out towards Chelsfield and Farnborough to the tighter openings around Petts Wood and Crofton. Every gate we make is built to order in the material and style you pick. Call our gate team and we will walk you through what suits your entrance.

Our Gate Range for Orpington Homes

  • Handcrafted Hardwood Gates – Built in our Kent joinery workshop in oak, cedar or Accoya, using traditional joinery methods with the option of engraving.
  • Aluminium Gates – Light, rust-free and finished in any RAL colour you like, including woodgrain effects, with very little upkeep once fitted.
  • Iron Gates – Hot-dip galvanised and powder coated for a tough, long-lasting finish that works on period and new-build properties alike.
  • Automation that Suits the Site – Underground motors for a clean look, above-ground rams for better value, or a sliding system where opening space is limited.

Gates Made to Fit Your Orpington Entrance

No two driveways in Orpington open the same way, so we never work from a standard size. We measure your opening to the nearest millimetre, then account for the fall of the drive, how close you sit to the road and the way you actually come and go each day. Our in-house team covers the design, the joinery or fabrication, the automation and the aftercare. That means one company from your first phone call through to your first service.

What Happens After You Enquire

  1. A call back within 24 hours and a free initial estimate.
  2. Manufacturing lead times of roughly 8 to 12 weeks.
  3. Installation on site in one to five days, depending on the system.
  4. An annual service to keep the motors running as they should.

FAQs

Will automated gates work on a sloping driveway?

Yes. Where a slope makes swing gates impractical, we fit a sliding system on an above-ground track, which needs a level threshold and clear space along one side.

Usually not. Permission is needed if the gates stand over 2m tall, over 1m where they meet a road, or if your home is listed or sits in a conservation area.

Every system comes with a manual release key so you can open the gates by hand. Our sliding gate kits also include battery back-up as standard.

You can. Our WiFi video intercoms let you see who is at the entrance and let them in from anywhere, and we also fit hard-wired and wireless audio options.

All our installations meet Machinery Directive MD 2006/42/EC. We fit safety photocells that reverse the gates if the beam is broken, plus safety edges and warning lights where the site calls for them.
