Automated Gates Penge

Automated Gates Penge

A gated entrance changes how a property feels the moment you pull onto the drive. In Penge, where homes sit close to busy roads and neighbouring properties, an automated gate gives you privacy, control over who comes in and an entrance worth looking at. We have been designing, building and fitting entrance gates across South East London for over a decade. Speak to our gate team and we will talk you through the options for your entrance.

Choosing Your Gate

  • Handcrafted Hardwood – Built in our Kent workshop using traditional joinery in oak, cedar or Accoya, with the option to have your property name engraved into the timber.
  • Aluminium – Light, rust free and low maintenance, available in any RAL colour including woodgrain finishes, which makes it a practical choice for narrower Penge entrances.
  • Iron – Hot dip galvanised for ten years of corrosion protection, then powder coated or spray painted for a strong, understated finish that ages well.
  • Automation Systems – Underground motors that sit flush with your driveway, above ground arms for a lower cost install, or a sliding system where space is tight.

Gates Made to Suit Your Entrance

Every driveway in Penge is a slightly different shape, so nothing we install comes off a shelf. We build each gate to order, measured to your opening to the nearest millimetre, in the style and finish you choose. Our joinery workshop in Kent handles the hardwood gates in house, while our aluminium and iron gates are made to order and finished in the colour you want. From the first estimate to the handover demonstration, you deal with one team.

Extras We Can Add

  • Video intercoms that let you see and speak to callers from your phone
  • Keypads, proximity tag readers and key switches for entry without a fob
  • Vehicle detectors that open the gates as you drive up to them
  • Entrance lighting, safety photocells, safety edges and warning lights

FAQs

How long does the whole process take from order to installation?

Manufacturing usually takes eight to twelve weeks, as every gate is made to order. Installation itself takes one to five days, depending on the system.

You will if the gates stand over two metres tall, or over one metre where they meet the road. Listed buildings and conservation areas also need permission, so check before you commit.

Every system we fit includes a manual release key so you can open the gates by hand. Our sliding gate systems come with battery back up as standard.

Underground motors are quieter and almost invisible once fitted, which suits properties where looks matter most. Above ground arms cost less to install and are simpler to service.

We recommend a service every twelve months to keep the motors, safety devices and hinges running properly. We look after maintenance for every system we install.
